Dragon Boat Canada Coaching Level 3

This brand new course is the third course in DBC’s three level coaching certification program.

This 16 hour course is intended for anyone coaching competitive crews training twice a week or more on and off the water, crews competing at provincial events, the National Championships and perhaps with a view to the Club Crew World Championships. After this course, coaches will have the tools to develop all aspects of year-round training programs including, advanced technical instruction, principles of training, mental preparation, testing and selection, and more.

Since this is a new course, we are not sure how many coaches have the prerequisite certifications to take it. If there is enough interest, this course will be offered online on February 7-8, 2026

Requirements for certification are below. These do not need to be completed before taking the course but are needed for certification:

1. SafeSport course.  https://coach.ca/sport-safety/safe-sport-training  It’s free and all online.

2. First Aid including CPR and AED.  There are several providers that offer this.  You can take the 8-hour or 16-hour course.  Online courses are not accepted.

Cancellations before manuals are sent out incur a 15% administration fee. After manuals are sent, an additional fee of $50 will be withheld.
